Giddy Up Masculine Birthday Card

This is a fun card I made for my son, who is the typical skateboard/MX kid who is now 27. And oddly enough, he likes to wear cowboy boots. LOL This is an 8 1/2″ x 11″ card, so that the boot would fit on the face of the card and there is lots of space inside for his co-workers to sign, since I scored another piece of CS @ 3/8″ and adhere the 2 sheets together to make a portrait opening card. The sentiment was just for fun, I knew it would put a smile on his face. Because these cards are so big, I stamped a large happy bday sentiment on the inside and some horses at the top edge and bottom edge as well, but failed to snap a photo of the inside.

Supplies Used:
Gold, Craft and Black card stock. Stamps, Inkadinkado’s Coffee House Alphabet 97731, The Paper Studio’s Sophie alphas CS010,Inkadinkado’s Horses 99540 (isn’t this a great set too! Inks StazOn for the Sentiments and Horse, sponging boot SU’s Chocolate Chip, sponging the face of the card SU’s Choc. Chip. Die Cuts from AccuCut Boot #2 die B1801J. I also hand cut the foot portion of an addition die cut boot and the loop at the top for a more realistic look and a narrow strip of black CS for the side seam piping plus a heel in brown CS. Misc. tools were a CutterBee perforation tool to make the stitch lines all around the boot for the appearance of seams and stitching, Heidi Swapp’s edge distresser was used all around the face of the card when it was completed. SU’s Sizzix Square Lattice embossing folder. Bic Mark It Woodsy Brown for the sole of the boot. I used foam tape inside the boot loop so it would appear more realistic rather than flat and adhered it down with my ATG gun.
