Fabric Pin and T Shirt Scarf

Hi Crafters! My daughter and I always do little treats for each other on our birthdays. And go out for a fun lunch. We ate at the Aviary Cafe’ and Creperie, it’s full of antique bird cages and book shelves with architectural details, so much fun stuff to look at while you eat. We turned the volume on our phones way down to not disturb her baby and ourselves. LOL And had the longest lunch ever, just having fun.

Here are some little goodies I made for her and presented to her at this fabby lunch date. More Burp rags packaged in the Quickutz Berry Container decorated with some Paula Dean 6×6 scrapbook paper that was trimmed.

A t shirt scarf adorned with a vintage lapel pin and packaged in a Sizzix Pro Heart box.

And a fabric lapel pin made from the two Sizzix circle dies I have, Circles and Circles #2, made by cutting the circles from crepe fabric and burning the edges with a candle, presented on a Stampin’UP! Sizzix Top Note Die, stamped with some Papertrey Ink stamps in pink ink. A simple birthday card that we made at Stampin’UP! card class recently.

For instructions on how to make the t shirt scarf go to Mr. Kate Kate is so much fun. I used a tshirt with seams down both sides (Ooops!), so I had to wrap both seams with ribbon to cover the raw edges. So, be sure to use a tshirt that has NO seams. HaHa and save yourself some headache. I should have payed better attention to the video. Not that it mattered, I don’t think I had any other tshirts that I could have cut up. LOL I coiled the finished scarf and tied a length of ribbon around it for presentation to keep it from getting tangled up.

One more little lapel pin treat in this video, made with the fabric circles burned with a candle. here
