Papertrey Ink’s 8th Bday, Quilted, Feb. 2015

Hey Crafters!! Papertrey is turning 8 this month! I’m jumping ahead to the All things Spring day, because I was so inspired by Danielle’s White, Red and Green card! and I already knew what PTI product I was going to use for this challenge.

Use a stamp set that is brand new or hasn’t gotten enough use! I’ve used all of my PTI stamp sets, but this PTI Hexagon plate was just the ticket for a Quilt inspired project. The little sewing stamp set listed at the end of this post, used on the inside of the card has not seen ink. 😉

This is an A2 sized card base in white, the Hexagon Cover Plate cut in white too and all of the pieces glued back into place on the card base, except the ones for the Flower. They were temporarily glued to some scrap paper and colored with copics. The Red pieces were edged on 2 sides with R59 Cardinal and filled in with R29 Lipstick Red a couple of times to get that dark marker to blend. The center piece was colored with YG25 all over, then edged on 2 sides with G99 Olive and recolored with the lighter green to blend.

The stitch lines were stamped in SU Real Red, with Stitches, by The Paper Studio or Stampabilities? I’ve written both on my tag. :0

I really wanted to add these cute images from Stampabilities, called Sewing, but they just would not work on the outside of the card. They were stamped on white CS and colored with Copics and Bics in grays and reds, then cut out and glued to the inside of the card.
