Spring Coffee Lovers Card

Hey Crafters!!  I’m playing in the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop, it ends today.  Happy Spring!

I cut a bunch of dies from my scrap bin and doodled on them with Copics.  Tulip by Sizzix, Daffodil by CottageCutz, Purple flowers by Martha Stewart (punch), Coffee Cup by LifeStyleCrafts,  I popped some things up with fun foam and Glossy Accents.

The “happy” sentiment is from Penny Black, Let’s Chat.  The “Easter” is from Papertrey Ink, Year Round Happiness.

    • Thanks Monika Reeck! I think WordPress will let you know I replied? I’ll post this to your card at your blog too, just in case. You could do a similar thing with Flower stamps and some masking or stamp in blue ink or hand draw images with a blue marker. Then fussy cut images out. If you’re Copic or alcohol marker coloring, use a Copic friendly ink like Memento or Ranger Distress in light blue. I recently purchased some Memento dew drops specifically for this purpose. Or draw with a Sharpie marker in light blue, then color with alcohol markers. If you color over the blue stamped or drawn line, it almost disappears or becomes a shadow, which is fascinating! Here is a post where I explored this a bit:

Another option would be to use other dies to make flowers leaves make great flower petals and or circle or oval punches also called paper punched art. If you’re in the mood to shop, some of my favorite places to shop for dies and I purchase a lot based on Sale items. 😉 And subscribe to them all, so I’m notified when new things arrive or are on sale.
I don’t know what shipping would be to Germany? Maybe worth checking out. Happy Easter!

    • Thanks Suzanne Reynolds! I collect a lot of dies and since I reorganized them into specific categories, like “Floral”, I can just go to that bucket and pull stuff to use together no matter what size it is. I used to file my little dies together and my big dies somewhere else. This makes it more usable and easy to know and find what I have in my stash. Happy Easter!

    • Thanks Carla vdM! Yes you must. I have thought this very same thing every Spring and Fall as quite a few ladies I follow participate and I get their posts in my email box. This is my first time playing and all of the cards look wonderful and fun with the coffee cups. Happy Easter!

    • Thanks Marianne! Yes, I used all scraps except for the card base. It is so hard for me to throw any scrap away! Now, I just need to work on using my patterned papers. LOL. Happy Easter!
