Hey Crafters!! This is a card made for our son, who turned 30 in August, 2015. He’s one of those amazing people who is so multitalented that it’s mind boggling and we wonder, where did all of that talent come from? He’s a quick study and just before his birthday, he did a lot of research on Fly Fishing and bought some poles. We ran to Bass Pro and gathered up a bunch of stuff to make flies and I needed a quick card to go with our gifts.
If you’re reading this post in an email, pop over to my blog to watch the video located at the bottom of the post near the supply list.
It is a long 19 minute video, so if you have something better to do, go do it. LOL. Do you ever have an idea, but when you take it to paper, it just does not work out like it did in your mind? That is this card, but I just kept going. There is a certain point in time where I’ve invested too much product, in this case Copics….and I just have to keep going and it usually turns out okay in the end. Jon totally got the concept of his card and Amber even liked it too. Even though it’s not my best card, my mission was successful. And even though I wasn’t thrilled with it, it was still made with love and my son felt that. At least he got a card that year, many folks did not as I have had some crazy sinus thing all Summer and Fall and keeping babies 3-4-5 days a week. I’ve still got tons of things waiting in the wings to share.
