Hey Crafters!! I’m popping in with a quick card for my Mom’s birthday.
I’ve pulled a previously colored image and threw it together to make a quick card to go with some fun Purple kitchen utensils, a table cloth and shopping bag. *Scroll to the bottom of this post for the Video.
This is a gorgeous wood mounted stamp from Inkadinkado 60-00513.
I bought these fun Purple kitchen utensils at my local Wal-Mart Super Center for 99 cents to $2.47. They also came in a medium teal blue, bright green and hot pink. It would have been fun to have some of each color, but Mom’s favorite color is Purple.
While searching for a container to put them in, I found this gorgeous Tablecloth by, The Pioneer Woman. They were $14-$15. Mom has an oval table, but has recently moved to a house with a smaller kitchen and took the leaf out of her table. Now the table is round! I’m so glad I called to confer with her instead of getting the wrong table cloth.
I also tossed in a tiny Crisco that I picked up at the Dollar General Store last time I needed to make pie crusts. The small Crisco was all they had and I’d bought 2 and only used 1. This added some humor to the gift bag. By now I’ve spent about $25, but still want something to display the kitchen utensils in.
The large clear glass Mug came from the Dollar store, where everything is $1.00. It’s got to be around 24 ounces and it’s perfect to hold all of these Purple utensils. I used some ribbon from Michael’s that matches the color theme I’ve got going on here. Plus, a plastic reusable shopping bag to put my gifts in, also $1.00 from the Dollar store. The can colander was from Wal-Mart @ .99 cents. I love to Mix and Match things! While this in not my best coloring for a card, it saved me in a pinch of time to have a card to go with my gifts and I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO WORRY ABOUT IT…scrambling late at night…ROLLING ON TO GET OUT THE DOOR with car loaded for a family reunion, get to work, don’t forget my lunch and hope I’ve packed everything I need for the weekend!
